Dateless

Dates mean nothing. The poems are just ordered as I please. I believe I still have a mostly accurate account of dates elsewhere.

lost poem

 Happy Birthday 2016/17

Crystal ships soar high above and glisten

Angels sigh and songbirds pause to listen

For the day has come

With beating of the drum

Celebration of the day she first

Brought to life a life-fulfilling thirst

As from her lungs a song, in colours, burst

From that moment on, my beating heart

Responded to the tunes she did impart

For long and long, her glow ne'er came to rest

In journey of the heart made manifest

Trapped beneath the waves, she found her way

But, always, always passion held her sway

The power chained within the hurricane

Drew from heart of mine the depths of pain

She knocked the stuffing right out into staves

Washing all the shores with banking waves

Her glow began in rhythm as she rose above the sea

The pulsing of her heart and glow stir in my memory

A shelter rose within this heart in time of greatest need

In return for dazzlement of wonder do I plead

The blowing of the hurricane transforms

From battering of ships into the storms

To gentle breeze of swaying song

Of loving of a life both free and strong

Free from all of the anguish of a race

Left behind in awe without a trace

Strengthened by the love I have for you

Into a cord of life with loving view

On one bright morn she sang across the waves

Count me 'mongst her many, starstruck knaves
