Dateless

Dates mean nothing. The poems are just ordered as I please. I believe I still have a mostly accurate account of dates elsewhere.

"Lace"

Amidst the span of Janus' twinning face

I found a special elegance and grace

But, never, in my life, have found a trace

That I can be assured there was, in fact

Along the moor and fading light, a track

Of something that assured me where to tack

To come upon the loveliness and lace

With certainty I've finally found the place

Where it all exists

While I concede I don't much like these rhoems, at least they are a substitute for the prose that I'm pretty sure I'm wrapping up.  If I stick with it, they might even get better.  Then, again, maybe I'm weary of the unending carousel or maze.  Or, I'm just weary of being Gemini.

"Hurricane II"

4/19/24

Hurricane

To whom am I to tell this stuff

These maunderings and silly fluff

As seasons spill their wonders as they churn

My preference for the Daffodils, in turn

With pale yellow petals midst the brightest yellow urn

My favorite of them all, as bright as sun

Has been there all along until it's done

Right now I voice a scream midst hurricane

When is it that the time is right, again

Or, birds and all their feathers on the wing

As they burst out their hearts with urge to sing

Or, ponder all the crankiness and crackle

Of swarms upon the wind of crow or grackle

Or  that I love the line as it applies

To line before and after as it flies

w

Well, I have to say this has been righting my mood for a little while.  It can only do so much, though.  For the first time in my life, I am experiencing boredom.  I hate to even admit it.

"River of Dreams"

I sure hope it works but I don't think I'm that good of a wizard.

River of Dreams

The light that washes water is moonbeams

A soothing ray that slips into the streams

The wizard rides the wind to bear a spell

"Sleep, my dearest, dream that all is well

Softly and so gently seek the peace

The river long, the troubled thoughts surcease"

Let ripples in the wind be set aside

The water soothe your temples as you slide

Into the graceful elegance, abide

Traverse, forsooth, your wishes as you ride

No more the tears, the river as your guide

Expel the aches on sand below the tide

Wash away the haunting as defied

Sink into the river of your dreams

Let gentleness lay witness as it deems

Sleeeeeep, my dear.   zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
