"Castle of your mind"

 Castle of your mind

Perched upon resplendent crest

Midst skies of radiant blue

My mind was eased as thoughts fluoresced

To spy is to imbue

Regal cut of castle stands

Above a placid shore

The vision of that grace commands

The view that I adore

The gate's seen open to the love

But guarded well by heart

Upon the ramparts, far above

That stands alone, apart

I lay a hand upon the gate

And feel the gentle pull

Of heart that sings as I elate

My soul brims overfull

The spell you cast upon my heart

Within your castle walls

Supernova's blown apart

Your castle always calls

"Myriad"

 Myriad

The myriad ways and interplays

Of castle set on high

Sets thoughts ablaze as mind betrays

The lips to launch a sigh

The castle's cool complexity

Entwined in maze of one 

Adaptively, perplexity

Of halls is newly spun

For all the world, I love it more than life and breath and morn

Your heart that soars in loving scores

To fill each coming day

This mind explores in all its lores

Of vast complex array

The pain that rakes my heart with aches

Sends pleasant thoughts astray

Heart undertakes to craft keepsakes

Of wonders for display

In colours of the rainbow, all the greys of living shorn

To set alight a day's delight

And brighten castle halls

In darkest night appears moonlight

The spell of it enthralls

My eyes renew in loving view

Exalting in the revel due to you

"Sky"

 Sky

I lay upon a carpet of green grass

Contemplating sky and clouds that pass

As shades of white and blue go through my mind

So like the clouds, I drift along and find

That, once again, my thoughts have turned to you

Obscuring all that falls within my view

Ever-present loving saturates

I ponder thoughts of passion and the fates

Upon the drifting clouds, so soft and fair

Drifts these thoughts of deepest loving care

Heart goes with the clouds upon their travels

As the worried thought of heart unravels

Wind picks up and sighs with thoughts of love

Heart returns with feelings far above

Sun begins to set upon the day

Night begins to fondle interplay

The shining moon reflects your sweet demure

Twinkling stars emerge as feelings stir

Night of summer breeze so slowly passed

Light of newborn day is coming fast

Sun arises with a heartfelt sigh

In radiance of shining clear blue sky

Filling, once again, with love that I

Give back unto the morning's open sky

"Avalanche"

Cascading down the mountainside

Along with dust and boulders ride

A mountain stream both strong and wide

As all debris and dust subside

The waters, crystal clear, abide

The mountain and the stream remain, unchanged

As hearts and love and caring are exchanged

"Ocean III"

 

I walk along the border of the ocean and the land

A split infinity that always offers something grande

Along another border of infinity and spine

The fire alights along with something fine

Whether it is lit with only revels of the mind

Or, consummated in this life, I find

Unswerving faith in this infinity

And you

"Woman"

 Woman

The briskness of a winter morn

The warmth of summer breeze

First light of day as it is born

As sigh among the trees

For Woman

Daffodils in garden growing

Falling leaves of color

Lovely as a freshet Flowing

All of life is fuller

With Woman

The wind that sings from far above

The heart that moves us on

The engine of unending love

That brings about new dawn

You are woman

I've done what I could in this life and it is not nearly enough.  Okay, maybe I"m sensing that it might just move forward.  Maybe I've gotten that far.  Now, men must admit their humility or do something about it.

"Where away?"

Funny that I never posted this poem.  Other than any of the many, many, many poems that I wrote (maybe 800?) for the one that I adore, this may be my next favorite but, I'll admit, there are a few.

Where away, my gentle one?  Where is it that you go?

Remember on your journey far one thing that you should know

This life can wear away those things that matter most of all

For if you are not careful, by the wayside they will fall

These precious things that are so rare, but so define a life

Can grind away beneath the stones of time and stress and strife

Of Honor, Soul, and Dignity, important things they be

Respect for all, disdain for none; with Heart, Integrity

And, Love, let's not forget the one that makes it all worthwhile

Such fragile, precious gems, they are, that wear away with guile

Hmmm, I was trying to peg when I wrote this.  It was very, very early in the 3rd Millennium.  2002?  Certainly well before I shed the corporate hounds.

"Blazing sun"

 Blazing sun

Sometimes I think I wander through the woods

Of mind in desperate thought on do's and could's

Because I've ached for many lives before

To love you deeply midst the written score

Of wonder of the cosmos that is sealed

By loving so transcendently revealed

As in the love of two becoming one

That blazes in the night as blazes sun

"The Flow"

She moves through my armour as if it were air

A difference in kind of senses to share

The bleeding is gone, as I learn how to care

No bullets are sent, just the loving midair

It seeps through the skin to the bone savoir-faire

Relent, not at all, it will spread everywhere

the lady abides

She flies to the rooftop

Where She really starts to fly

The sighs never to stop

For She revels in the sigh

Life has begun in the middle of it all

No more to run, for the meaning to stand tall

The wiggle room that's empty, now to fill

With paintings wrought in love that won't stand still

The meaning of it all becomes apparent

Facades of emptiness become transparent

I bow unto the Lady and her style

Please just let me linger there awhile

The pinnacle is rising to that task

"Second confidence"

Here I go, again.

Second confidence

I find a second confidence to burst

I'm not sure any better than the first

All those rangy wanderings of mine

For which I give no voice, no written rhyme

Those seeping celebrations, oh, so fine

Those blazing brief explosions all through time

That crazy incandescence of the soul

That always seeks a way unto the whole

No one there to dance, the step I stole

No stage upon the world to set the goal

To blaze out in the world, a new-born foal

Too crazy to discuss with anyone

Unless she blazes night as blazes sun
