Dateless

Dates mean nothing. The poems are just ordered as I please. I believe I still have a mostly accurate account of dates elsewhere.

"Ransom"

 Ransom

Cosmic is the clash that held me down

Tectonic flash that struck upon the ground

The reins that held so tightly I was bound

To winsome way I finally had found

Beyond intent of weaving for myself

With tapestry of love put on the shelf

So, thank you for your patience and your guile

I smile yet, once again, at Dazzle's style

Beyond my comprehension, not respect

Your wilding ways, my heart that is bedecked

With crystal spires that sing as they reflect

The passioned ransom song and its effect

"Life of Love"

 Life of Love

I set my heart upon the sky

I sing the waves from there on high

To wash and soothe the Flow to fly

On wings of life and love and sigh

To heal the wind that flows through loving wings

Sustain the lift so steady as she sings

To soar upon crescendoes of the strings

In measures matched to life of love she brings

"The Beacon"

 The Beacon

Within the darkness glowed a light

Across the binding sea

Incandescence to bedight

The wondrous, bel esprit

I sought the beacon, long and lost

But, never distance ever crossed

The beacon's light was far too bright

The blaze of light across the night

Was spinal fire of thee

Twin feelings, there, of love and awe

The beacon blazed upon the flaw

The radiance fluorescing all the while

In elegance and timeless, daring style

As witness to the waves and sea

Disdaining all the agony

Of blood and loss and tragedy

How was I to know

That only half the glow

Was all I should expect before

Or ever should have sought

And, in this life, to just explore

The word, not deed, but loving thought

That love will have to wait awhile

For elegance of life and loving style

"Numinous"

The numinous

As the numinous began to stir

I raised  my eyes to fondest sight of Her

And heart began to rise

In sensing of Her precious love

From up above in thoughts thereof

She graced my loving Skies

To guide me on from dusk to dawn

To lay the song upon the lawn

And watch as weeping dries

No slightest doubt, no  shorter route

With heart devout and feelings stout

I listened for the drum

I'll follow it for all my days

Through wickets wired to feel the craze

Upon our hearts, I strum

Ah, it's good to feel release

These loving arms will never cease

As empty as may be

To fill the arms, the final goal

The honest heart with loving role

A goal that keeps me free

To love You 'cross so many lives

Sends me, long, on deepest dives

While heart's in apogee

Defining life is still to come

The loving felt upon the drum

Of loving hearts set free

You are my intention

With life in abstention

I'll love you through all of the night

Until it is I love you right

I just can't quit writing.  You are my muse and so much more than that across all lives.

Slight update.  I think I'm finished.

I feel like I hear a voice saying, "I win!  Life is misery!!!"  I just hope that voice is not you and that it is wrong.  I haven't given up the challenge.  I've just declared a change of venue.

Happy Birthday 2023

I can't help it.  I worry about you.  So, two posted early.   One here and one in the other place.   (I'll try to stir up a few more before your birthday)

I sing to the skies for the look in your eyes

Of a heartbeat that spies as the love mystifies

The crescendo of life in its wake

Like fractals of wintry snowflake

The tune that is sung, once the revel's begun

Where fireworks are flung, in full passion of sun

I love you for all of all time

In word and in thought and in rhyme

Just for you and all of love's own sake
