Wonders
The twisting, turning love and life
The endless bounds of stress and strife
The ache you sing in trembled tones
The sighs that hit with stanza's stones
The wickedness displayed for all
The purity with which we fall
The trebled trips
The fumbled grips
The willingness to altar
The suddenness of falter
You fear that we are so alike
That, with a will, the thought will strike
Is it that you fear the end of night
Revealed, in all its glory, in the light
That love of life can balance in extremes
The windlass raising heart, or so it seems
The balancing of life is what I seek
Forget the bold, forget the mild and meek
And, thank you for the rhoetry, again
Once again, it comes midst wind and rain
Accepting all the tendrils of the fates
Children playing; loving, caring mates
All the wonders of the world
Before your feet, become unfurled
