Happy Birthday, Artful Dodger 2026

 Happy Birthday, Artful Dodger 2026

A shower of stars appears in the night

To welcome the day that song took to flight

The voltage is charged to a stunning degree

The lightning that's coming to set the heart free

The thrill of the moment is nothing compared

To thrill of eternity where nothing is spared

How I defied all the misdirects thrown

Rendered no meaning to silence of stone

While trying to live with restrictions, my own

Since none were forthcoming from seat of the throne

Now that I'm nearing the end of this round

I find by the splendour and wonder I'm bound

I find at the last that the thought that came first

Not feeding of hunger but dying of thirst

For the love that can fill every nook of my soul

Nourishing life and making me whole

Where is the splendour that I sought

Still in you, it all is wrought

The wind upon the sea will say it best

It comes to me as riding on a crest

It carries all the body blows of sound

Words and voice are ringing all around

Great Heart creates the dream to spur me on

Sing the greatest tune of heart and song

Caroling 'til crescent of the dawn

Upon the crest of wave the sighs belong

I hold onto the dream, it's willing pawn

It wanders through to last a whole life long

I am becoming more and more amazed by how precise the foil is.  Absolute duplicates in so many ways and, yet, so very different due to gender.  What makes it even more fascinating is that we are, each, taking on the role that is most challenging for our gender.  In fact, there is another way in which we have reversed the traditional roles.  But, I get into all of that in the rhoem.  Thank goodness that I have broken the barrier of fretting and moved on to acceptance of that which will be whenever it arrives.  At this point, I can only hope the rhoems continue but this one was very satisfying.  I have high hopes.  It's not the frolicking, rollicking rhoetry with which I began this journey, but that seems unlikely to return for an obvious reason.

I could go on ... as you well know.
