Dateless

Dates mean nothing. The poems are just ordered as I please. I believe I still have a mostly accurate account of dates elsewhere.

"Static"

Static

No frozen features all on down the line

Infinite expressions of you shine

So many times, so many ways

That I have tried to scribe

Each moment drawn, re-etched in clays

Divergent tune and vibe

As if all time were molded new

Each moment gone, no end in view

Each sketch but lasts a moment

Each heartbeat a bestowment

Of a new Kaleidoscope

The last one did elope

Just a note ago

As time and years accumulate

The beat of drums attenuate

Allowing golden heart to press

For din of life to acquiesce

And slow the tempo down

The loveliness begins to coalesce

Into a form more stable effloresce

As if, for all of life, commemorate

To settle down but not to abdicate

The bearing of the crown
