Dateless

Dates mean nothing. The poems are just ordered as I please. I believe I still have a mostly accurate account of dates elsewhere.

"The Diamond's Facets"

The Diamond's Facets

I peer into each of the diamond's faces

And find a new kaleidoscope within

In each and every facet, finding traces

Of stirring, swirling changes that begin

To hint at something more than just the wonder

At evolution laced with fire and thunder

One facet of the diamond is the song

With genre-free transcendence all along

Each song itself, bold changes in its course

Rearranging all of life with force

Another is display of all expressions

All of the emotions of a life

Brought to life in infinite confessions

All of loving, limitless and rife

So many other facets shining bright

Removing all the darkness from the light

Validation comes in many forms

In eyes of adoration and in storms

As I peered into the vast reflections

I came upon reflections of my eye

Startled by my own immense affections

A mist began to form, I can't deny

At the heart, the pulse that always pleaded

For rarest breed of loving that is needed

As heart was freed, and living was preceded

By loving that became as something bleeded

Poured upon the floor, then gathered up

A struggle, then, ensued when something new

Occurred beneath the burning of the sun

Requiring finer fettle, something mettle

To take the stress required when it is done

When all the jarring turned too many times

When all the loving's launched in words of rhyme

When all the many facets mirror never-ending blend

Of diamond-hard renditions; when the movement has no end

Now, at last, we come to the conclusion

That loving's on its way with no confusion

Within a merest lifetime, all the loving should be free
